Roundup Linked to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Risk

Roundup is a weed killer containing the chemical glyphosate that is currently sold by Bayer. Since it was developed by Monsanto in the 1970s, Roundup has gone on to become the most widely-used weed killer in the world.

Researchers have found that agricultural workers, farmers, groundskeepers, lawn care professionals, and other individuals who are exposed to Roundup or glyphosate are more likely to be diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

According to a study published in 2019 about the link between Roundup and lymphoma, individuals who were exposed to high amounts of glyphosate weedkillers are 41% more likely to be diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Several countries in Europe have banned the use of Roundup and glyphosate because of their link to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma or other cancers.

Thousands of Roundup Litigation Claims On Behalf of Patients with NHL

More than 100,000 lawsuits against Roundup have been filed on behalf of individuals with lymphoma or other illnesses linked to glyphosate weedkillers.

In 2020 – following several multimillion-dollar verdicts in favor of Roundup users with lymphoma – Bayer agreed to pay $11 billion to settle tens of thousands of Roundup class action claims.

Despite this settlement, Roundup users may still qualify to take legal action if they were diagnosed with lymphoma caused by exposure to glyphosate weedkillers.

Currently, there are approximately 54,000 pending Roundup lawsuits against Monsanto and Bayer. Individuals who are interested in joining the ongoing litigation can contact an attorney for more information to find out if they qualify to take legal action.
